Brave New World

Ughhhhhhhhhhh this book sux big hairy ......... Anyways so I don't really remember the assignment but I think it had something to do with talking about one aspect of the book. I am going to talk about the world government. The idea of one government ruling is theoretically a good idea, at least this is what i think. Assign different governors to the different ethnic groups. In this way all people would be equally represented in their needs and wants. Since human kind is hell bent on self destruction like it has been since the beginning of time it would also be easier to quell wars and other petty genocides since everyone would have to deal with it instead of having the option of ignoring it. If one region started to fall apart then everyone else would help. The development of Africa wouldn't be just a dream, the end of the constant fighting in the middle east would be a tangible idea. Countries being deprived of much needed resources would finally find relief. The thought of a world government could mean so much more than just one dictator finally achiving complete world domination as seen so commonly in hollywood. Why cant this idea be a reality, why not end where it all began, go back to simplistic lifestyle. Do away with the constant bickering of politics and get done what needs to be done. Of course this is a utopia that any rational person could realize will never be achieved. Corruption and greed have preyed on our already "righteous" government as it is lets, not let it gain control of everything. I have a better idea lets just let Jake Zatecky, or however us spell Hitler reincarnates name, rule he seems to have some pretty crazy ideas, wait isn't that how the anti christ gets his start.....

Sir Gawain

So its pretty much clear that the "lord" is the green knight. I'm not really sure how this whole story is gonna wrap up though. I think the queen or the one chick who is trying to get it on with him is pretty much bad news. I've gotten to the part with the green corslet that supposedly protects him from anything. I hope he walks in all cocky and what not then gets his head cut off by the green knight. I personally think that would be kinda funny but hey thats just me.

Final Reading List

I finally got my reading list from P-dice (she is so irresponsible). It seems that I am reading:
Medea, For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Left Hand of Darkness,The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. This should be loads of fun.

SAT part 2

Well today I took the SAT's. I think watching paint dry may have been more fun but, I am glad to say that I saw Lyndsey Stewart there. She was frantically running around looking for a picture ID last time I saw her. Overall though I think the test was a bit over exaggerated. I mean some of the math parts defiantly were way over my head but, hey it looks like SAT Prep class might have actually paid off a bit.

Painting

So my sister's wedding is pretty soon and, what happens......Of course it's Tucker do this, Tucker do that, and so on. It's not even my fricken wedding and so far I've redone my living room all by myself, painted the outside of our house all by myself, and last but not least fixed the bathroom all by myself. I think I'll never get married if I have to go through that much work again.

I think I want to crawl in a hole and die. My SAT's are this saturday and I realized that I don't even have a calculator for it. So if any of you have any pointers for this stupid test that is about to completely demoralize me, please let me know how it is.
